The Minnesota Women’s Political Caucus Education Council (MWPC-EC) has completed Phase I of its' Diversity Outreach Project (DOP). Phase I included hosting 16 focus groups throughout the state of Minnesota.
We successfully reached out to hundreds of paticipants from the following five racial/ethinic groups: African American, African Immgrants, Hmong, Latina/Hispanic, and the Native American Community. Please click on the "play" button on the audio below to listen and learn more about concerns each of these groups shared as relates to becoming more engaged in the concerns and activities of their respective communities and the workings of government.
During Phase II of the Diversity Ourtreach Project, the MWPC will host several "Talking Series" througout the above listed communities. We also will provide various levels of trainings, ranging from learning more about how governemnt works, mock voting at the polls, to advanced caucus trainings.
