Does PETA Have a Problem with Fake Fur?
Does PETA have a problem with fake faux fur? Obviously they would pitch a fit about a real fur coat, whether it would be mink or ferret or stray cat for that matter, but how do they feel about faux fur? On the positive side, no animals were harmed in the making of a faux fur coat. On the negative side, it still promotes the wearing of animal carcass as a fashion statement. I would imagine that they still disapprove of the practice. They should pick their battles though. They are going to look more like a crazy organization if they band together about the appearance of an issue rather than just sticking with trying to maintain fair treatment to animals in general. I’m not sure that many people who could actually afford real mink however, really want a fake fur coat. It is almost like buying a fake diamond. Only cheapskates would do that.
